What Love Queen collects when you use it, why, and how long it's kept.

Who we are

Love Queen is run by The Love Queen. For anything about your data, email privacyhere@thelovequeen.com.

If you just use the free readings

You don't need to give us your name or email to use the app. To stop any one visitor overloading it, we note your IP address and how many readings it has asked for that day. Those counts are deleted after two days.

Your device keeps a few small things so the app remembers you: that you've agreed to the entry page, and your first name if you've given it in any room. While the tab is open it also keeps your place in a reading and your birthday, so you don't have to type it twice. Closing the tab clears those two. None of this is a cookie, and clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.

What you ask us

When you ask a question in a reading, it's sent to OpenAI, with your first name if you gave one, and OpenAI's AI writes the reading. OpenAI doesn't use it to train its models and deletes it within 30 days.

We also log the question itself, the room you asked it in, the time, and a random session code. We never log your name or email with it, so a logged question can't be traced back to you. It's how we learn what people actually want from the app. Logged questions are deleted after 90 days.

If you rate a rune reading, we keep your rating, any note you add, and which runes were drawn, for 90 days.

Names and birth dates you give the numerology and astrology rooms are used to work out your reading. We don't store them. Only your own device keeps them, as described above.

If you sign up for your gifts

Signing up needs your first name and email address. We use them to:

• send you a sign-in link (you never need a password)
• keep your name and gifts ready for when you come back
• send you news and updates from the Love Queen now and then. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing doesn't touch your gifts.

Your sign-in stays on your device until you haven't visited for 180 days.

If you're offered a gift in the middle of a reading, we hold what you'd been asking about (your question, the cards drawn and the chat so far) for 24 hours, so the gift can pick up where you left off. After that it's deleted, whether you've claimed it or not.

If you report a problem

If you tap "Report a problem", we keep what you write, which room you were in, your screen size and browser, and the last error the app hit. It's emailed to us and stored for 90 days. Your name and email aren't included.

Who else handles your data

We never sell your data. A few services do work for us, and only for that:

• OpenAI writes the readings from your question (United States)
• Brevo sends our emails and holds the mailing list (EU)
• PostHog tells us which parts of the app get used (EU). It uses no cookies, never sees what you type or the readings you're given, and doesn't keep your IP address.
• Our web host stores the app and your account

OpenAI is in the United States, so your question leaves the UK. It's protected there by the safeguards UK law requires for transfers.

Why we're allowed to use it

• Readings and your gifts: because you asked for them
• The overload limits, question log, problem reports and usage counts: our legitimate interest in keeping the app running and improving it
• News emails: your consent, given when you sign up, which you can withdraw any time by unsubscribing

How long we keep things

• Daily usage counts and IP addresses: 2 days
• Pending gift context: 24 hours, whether claimed or not
• Logged questions and rune ratings: 90 days
• Problem reports: 90 days
• Your name and email: until you ask us to delete them

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacyhere@thelovequeen.com and we'll reply within a month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
